Position : Electrical Design Engineer
A well reputed growing practice of 20 people has multi-disciplines and a blue chip client base, who demand the highest levels of service in terms of technical expertise, meeting the budget, programme and communication expectations. Our projects are located all over the UK, and skill and passion are recognised and rewarded. We are currently looking to make an additional investment in an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. You will need to be client focused and fit into the existing design team quickly, bringing with you new ideas, enthusiasm and commitment. Add to this an in-depth understanding of designs which encompass environmental and low carbon schemes including achieving BREEAM accreditation projects to EXCELLENT status. Educated to degree or HNC level in Electrical Buildings Services (Although we would consider an outstanding candidate currently studying) LV & HV power distribution / fire alarm / lighting / controls / CCTV / data systems experience. Knowledge of project management systems & procedures. Health and Safety qualification would be a benefit. Ability to prepare & present their own specifications to clients. Understanding of AutoCAD. (Although we have our own in-house CAD department.) Office 2007+ literate. An understanding of Hevacomp, Amtech, Dialux, Relux. Excellent report writing skills. Experience attending design team meetings, taking notes and communication of actions / responses. Site inspections and defect identification. Strong commissioning and handover skills.
